Into the Fire by Suzanne Brockmann

Into the Fire is the 14th book in Suzanne Brockmann's Troubleshooters/Seal Team Sixteen/FBI series. If you haven't read any of this series I wouldn't start with this book.
I love this series and will recommend it to anyone who loves intense storylines with just enough romance.
This is Vinh Murphy's story who most will remember from Hot Target.
The big difference I notice in this book is that the secondary storylines were has big as the 'main storyline'.
I don't want to give to much away for people who have not read the entire series yet.
I will just say that I give this a rating of 5!!!!!!!!
Below is the order for this series:
OVER THE EDGE, September 2001
OUT OF CONTROL, March 2002
INTO THE NIGHT, December 2002
GONE TOO FAR, July 2003
FLASHPOINT, March 2004
HOT TARGET, December 28, 2004
BREAKING POINT, July 12, 2005
INTO THE STORM, August 15, 2006
FORCE OF NATURE, August 14, 2007
ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT, October 30, 2007
INTO THE FIRE, July 22, 2008
DARK OF NIGHT, Spring 2009

In the Garden Trilogy by Nora Roberts

What can I say this trilogy is classic Nora Roberts. I'm not really sure why it took me so long to read these books, but I'm so glad I did.

The trilogy focus 3 women at 3 different places in their lives.

In Blue Dahlia, Stella has lost her young husband in a plane crash. She moves back to Tennessee to be closer to her father and his wife. Stella applies for a job as manager of Roz Harper's In the Garden Nursery. When she start working she meets landscaper Logan Kitridge and sparks fly.

In Black Rose, Roz hires Dr. Mitch Carnagie who is a genealogist to search for the identity of the Harper Bride who haunts Harper House. As Roz and Mitch fall in love the Harper Bride get more and more violent. Who is the Harper Bride you have to read Red Lily to find out.

In Red Lily, Hayley Phillips she came to Tennessee hoping for a new start, for herself and her unborn child. As a distant cousin to Roz, she has been staying at Harper House and working at In the Garden. Hayley also finds herself falling in love with Roz's son Harper. Hayley feels that if she gives into her desire the foundation she has built at Harper House will fall apart. Flashes of the past and erratic behavior makes Hayley believe that the Harper Bride has found a way inside of her mind and body. It's time to put the Bride to rest once and for all, so Hayley can know her own heart again.

All 3 of these books get a rating of 5!!!!

Highly, highly recommend!!

Lord of Scoundrels by Loretta Chase

Book Description
They call him many names but Angelic isn’t one of them... Sebastian Ballister, the notorious Marquess of Dain, is big, bad, and dangerous to know. No respectable woman would have anything to do with the “Bane and Blight of the Ballisters”--and he wants nothing to do with respectable women. He’s determined to continue doing what he does best--sin and sin again--and all that’s going swimmingly, thank you...until the day a shop door opens and she walks in.
She’s too intelligent to fall for the worst man in the world...Jessica Trent is a determined young woman, and she’s going to drag her imbecile brother off the road to ruin, no matter what it takes. If saving him--and with him, her family and future--means taking on the devil himself, she won’t back down. The trouble is, the devil in question is so shockingly irresistible, and the person who needs the most saving is--herself!

This is the first book that I have read by Loretta Chase. I picked this title mostly because of all the great reviews this book has received on any web site you check. This story has all my favorite themes, reformed bad boy, strong heroine and “have to get married”. The author just draws you into Dain and Jessica’s relationship and makes you fall in love with both of them. I love reformed heroes and the author makes you feel all the pain Dain felt during his childhood and why he grew into the man he is when he meets Jessica.

4.5 stars…..highly recommended

Book Description:
With a bum knee, Nikki’s days of restaurant work are numbered, so she’s set her sights on becoming a private chef. But her trial run with magazine editor Jay Buchannan comes with some strange conditions-like pretending to be his girlfriend. If that’s not bad enough, trying to please Jay’s picky palate has Nikki running to Malibu & Ewe for a little stress relief-and to put some space between her and his perfectly toned body. As for Jay, he’s given up women for the year-but finds himself drawn to the kitchen, where he’s intrigued by his sexy cook’s ability to withstand the heat between them. He thinks it’s time to turn up the flames….

This is a new trilogy from Christie Ridgway. I have read a couple of her books before and have always enjoyed them. This book was just okay for me. There was too much going on; there were a couple second story lines that in my opinion were underdeveloped. The chemistry between Nikki and Jay was hot. Jay is a great hero, he acts like a guy and thinks like a guy. When he realizes that he is in love with Nikki you really feel it with him. Nikki is a good heroine you really feel what she went through when she was a teenager and the emotional problems she has as an adult. I'm not going to say anything else; I don't want to give any spoilers. I will check out the 2nd book in the series when it comes out.
My rating is 3.5 pretty good, not great!

Today I found out that I won the July Lottery on the romantictimes.com Games and Challenges message board. All you have to do is pledge as many books as you want and at the end of the month the previous month's winner picks a new winner. Then you send out the amount of books you pledged to the person who won. This was only the second time I pledge and I won!!

I received my first three books today
1. Lord Ruin - Carolyn Jewel
2. River of Eden - Glenna McReynolds
3. The Accidental Demon Slayer - Angie Fox (ARC)
